ABOUT
There are so many incredible underwater locations on Earth.
So, why do most divers travel to the same old places, only to end up on top of one another?
The answer, often, is because it’s easy.
SALT’s simple mission is to now make bucket-list diving destinations just as easy to access as the regular and overcrowded ones. The ones you’ve heard about in stories or seen in films. The ones that keep compelling you, and fill you with excitement. The ones you dreamed of as a kid.
The good stuff. Away from the crowds.
In nature. And in comfort.
Having already explored southern Africa’s deeply rich coastline for decades, this seemed the most natural jump-off point for SALT to start making some of the world’s best diving spots accessible to the greater diving community.
From the remote and tropical waters of Mozambique and north-eastern South Africa, to Cape Town’s kelp forests and wrecks, to the annual Sardine Run feeding frenzy, Africa’s southern tip offers almost endless adventure, beauty and diversity.
Of course, SALT’s founder being originally from the region also makes it easier to bring you the best of what southern Africa has to offer – without hassle, without fear, and to simply enjoy as a local diver might.
TESTIMONIAL
“It made the experience really unique and special to be hosted by a local who was so attentive to our needs and generous with his time – sharing his in-depth knowledge of the history and politics of the country, the environment, and his own experiences growing up there.”
