MEET THE CREW
Troy Wade
Founder
Troy began diving in Durban (South Africa) in 1992, and during the 33 years since has lived and worked as an instructor and guide in South Africa, Mozambique, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK.
An adventurer and environmentalist at heart, Troy has also been involved in numerous professional overland expeditions, including from Glasgow to Cape Town for UNICEF, in which he was responsible for logistics and crew hospitality.
In 2004, Troy helped set-up a five star diving operation and marine sanctuary on a remote island in northern Mozambique, and as a one-time commercial helicopter pilot, also jointly managed an aviation operation in South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains.
Whether in the ocean, on land or in the sea, Troy believes that real luxury in travel is less about providing fancy (yet generic) experiences, and more about getting to the heart of a place, underneath the tourist veneer.
Troy currently lives in Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex (UK) and dives and instructs regularly as the Training Officer of his Brighton BSAC club.
